Ctc 2024 Tax Refund. The amount a family can receive is up to $2,000 per child, but it's only partially. The new provisions increase the maximum refundable amount per child to $1,800 in tax year 2023, $1,900 in tax year 2024 and $2,000 in tax year 2025.

However, safe harbor rules may reduce the additional income tax owed depending on the taxpayer’s modified agi. A portion of that $2,000 credit is considered.
